外交部：中国本就不是汇率操纵国
美国财政部当地时间13日公布半年度汇率政策报告，将中国移除“汇率操纵国”名单。在14日中国外交部例会上，发言人耿爽就此事回应外媒记者提问时表示，美方的最新的结论符合事实，也符合国际社会的共识。
耿爽称，事实上，中国本来就不是汇率操纵国。“美方的最新的结论应该说符合事实，也符合国际社会的共识。”最近一次国际货币基金组织的评估的结论认为，人民币汇率水平大体上是符合经济基本面的，这等于在客观上也否认中国是汇率操纵国这种说法。
耿爽指出，中国是一个负责任的大国。我们也曾多次重申，我们不会搞竞争性的货币贬值，没有也不会将汇率作为工具来应对贸易争端等外部扰动。
他表示，中国将坚定不移地深化汇率市场化的改革，继续完善以市场供求为基础，参考一揽子货币进行调节有管理的浮动汇率制度，保持人民币汇率在合理均衡水平上基本稳定。
