美国总统特朗普上任后尚未和中国领导人习近平会面。但特朗普当选总统后关于台湾的言论和与台湾总统蔡英文通话的举动一度激怒中国。直到2月10日，两国领导人才实现电话交流。
到目前为止，特朗普在正式就任后已经会见了到访的日本首相安倍晋三、以色列总理内塔尼亚胡、英国首相特里莎・梅等多国政要。
中美元首会晤
多家英国媒体周二（3月14日）称，美国总统特朗普4月将在位于佛罗里达的马尔拉格俱乐部与习近平会面。中国外交部尚未正式宣布习近平访美消息，只是称目前双方正在就两国元首及各个级别的交往保持密切沟通。
