海关总署1月13日召开新闻发布会，新闻发言人黄颂平表示，当今世界经济处于国际金融危机之后的深度调整期，主要经济体走势和宏观政策取向分化，全球贸易发展进入低迷期，逆全球化的倾向抬头，贸易保护主义升温，极大增加了世界经济的不确定性。中美两国经济互补、贸易互惠互利，2016年美国是我国第二大贸易伙伴和最大的出口市场，我们希望中国和美国这两个世界上最大的经济体，未来在经贸合作方面有更好的发展前景。关于特朗普就任美国总统后实行的对外贸易政策，我们将密切予以关注。
