福田比我小两岁，却是我的远房表叔。
小时候，每次回老家过年，长辈们总是让我管福田叫表叔，我很不好意思，因为不能理解为什么要对一个比自己小两岁的人叫表叔。我不懂家长们之间的辈分—据说是因为福田的爸爸按辈分是我的爷爷，所以自然而然我要叫福田表叔。
福田表叔总是乐呵呵的，小时候我们每年只在过年的时候才能见一次，但每一次听说我们要回老家过年，福田表叔都会早早地在村口的山坡下等着我们，远远地一看到我们就开始乐呵呵地笑。
不熟的人，初次见面总是感到陌生，即使一年见一次也需要熟络的过程，但福田表叔好像完全没有这样的障碍，帮我背书包，带我在村里到处逛。田埂上有一只狗，我害怕不敢动，福田表叔就会冲上去一脚把狗踢到田里去，笑嘻嘻地对我说：“狗有什么好怕的。”
读初中之前，我一直觉得这个比我小的表叔很好打交道，直到初一那年春节。
福田表叔接上我们，扛着大包小包在前面走，我跟在后面一直盯着他，我觉得福田表叔走路好像很奇怪，每一步都一拐一拐地，总在快要失去平衡的时候才迈开另外一步。在印象中，他好像一直都是这么走路，只是那时我才意识到奇怪。
我问爸爸：“福田表叔走路是不是歪了？”
爸爸说：“他走路一直是这样。”
