Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Erick Thohir mengungkapkan tiga syarat yang harus dipenuhi PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) untuk bisa mendapatkan perpanjangan izin beroperasi setelah 2041.
Pertama, Erick Thohir meminta adanya tambahan direktur Freeport Indonesia yang berasal dari Papua. Menurut dia, banyak sumber daya manusia di Papua yang kompeten untuk menjabat sebagai direktur perusahaan tambang tersebut.
