Danish consumer confidence improved sharply in December, survey data from Statistics Denmark showed on Monday.
The consumer confidence index increased to -3.8 in December from -7.6 in November. The average for the past six months was -5.6.
The index measuring consumers' view regarding the future personal financial situation increased to 11.1 in December from 10.6 in the preceding month.
The measure reflecting the past personal financial situation fell to 4.4 in December from 4.6 in the prior month.
Households' assessment regarding the general economic situation of the country over the next year increased sharply to -2.1 in December from -16.1 in November.
The index reflecting the view on the past general economic situation rose marginally to -28.5 from -28.9 in November.
Consumers were less negative toward the big purchases in November as the index grew to -4.1 from -8.4 in the previous month.
They expect the unemployment to increase over the next year.
