Sikap Hawkish The Fed Terus Menekan Harga Emas
Harga emas turun lebih lanjut ke bawah level $1820 per troy ons menyusul berlanjutnya momentum positif pada Indeks Dolar AS. Pasalnya, Ketua The Fed Jerome Powell baru-baru ini mengatakan bahwa kenaikan suku bunga berisiko memang memperlambat ekonomi, namun risiko yang lebih besar adalah lonjakan inflasi yang berkelanjutan. Hal itu mengindikasikan urgensi The Fed untuk menaikkan suku bunga meski dibayangi risiko resesi.
Ketua The Fed Cleveland, Loretta Mester, juga mengatakan akan mengusulkan kenaikan suku bunga sebesar 75 basis poin pada pertemuan kebijakan bulan Juli.
Tren pergerakan harga emas pada hari ini masih cenderung bearish. Dalam jangka pendek, harga diperkirakan lanjut melemah hingga ke level 1811.00 jika terus bertahan di bawah area 1819.71-1824.00.
Skenario alternatif berikut ini dapat digunakan jika harga emas berhasil menembus ke atas level 1824.00.
