Cardano ADAUSD led the decreases with a 2.88% drop to $1.14.
Four other cryptocurrencies saw increases Friday. Bitcoin BTCUSD rallied 2.46% to $44,995.96, and Ethereum ETHUSD climbed 2.35% to $3,177.77.
Bitcoin Cash BCHUSD and Litecoin LTCUSD rounded out the increases, inching up 0.43% to $364.47 and 0.35% to $126.75.
In addition to Cardano, three other currencies posted drops. Polkadot DOTUSD slipped 0.47% to $21.13, and Ripple XRPUSD sank 0.46% to 84 cents.
Dogecoin DOGEUSD, which rounded out the decreases, slid 0.28% to 14 cents.
In crypto-related company news, shares of Coinbase Global Inc. COIN rose 0.14% to $190.45, while MicroStrategy Inc. MSTR slid 0.18% to $483.03. Riot Blockchain Inc. RIOT shares inched down 0.51% to $21.43, and shares of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. MARA inched down 0.61% to $30.15.
Overstock.com Inc. OSTK declined 3.87% to $47.42, while Block Inc. SQ shed 2.03% to $132.32 and Tesla Inc. TSLA sank 0.87% to $1,005.09.
PayPal Holdings Inc. PYPL declined 1.58% to $114.22, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. Cl A EBON shares declined 2.11% to $1.39. NVIDIA Corp. NVDA shed 1.18% to $278.19, and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. AMD inched down 1.58% to $119.46.
In the fund space, the Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF BITQ, which is focused on pure-play crypto companies, rose 0.39% to $18.21. Blockchain-focused Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF BLOK slid 0.10% to $35.30. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust GBTC, which tracks the Bitcoin market price, increased 3.02% to $31.43.
