美国前财长努钦：不支持任何增税措施

美国前财政部长史蒂文·努钦（Steven Mnuchin）周三表示，他反对引入新税，并警告说，拜登领导的民主党人对超级富豪征税的提议可能产生连锁反应。
周三，参议院民主党人公布了他们所谓的亿万富翁税计划，他们希望这将有帮助针对中低收入美国人的社会支计划提供资金。经过数周的谈判，该法案提议对那些连续三年拥有至少10亿美元资产或连续三年至少赚取1亿美元资产的人征税。
努钦在利雅得出席沙特未来投资倡议大会期间接受采访时表示：
“我总体上赞成简化税收体系，确保征收适当的税收。但当联邦政府以一种非常具体的方式针对富人群体时，我担心的是意想不到的后果。”
努钦的担忧与沙特未来投资倡议大会（Future Investment Initiative）上其他富有人士的担忧相呼应。周二，美国亿万富翁雷·达里奥（Ray Dalio）和拉里·芬克（Larry Fink）表示，他们愿意缴纳更多的税，但前提是这些钱能被更好地利用。
值得注意的是，努钦是一名富有的共和党人，曾在前总统特朗普的手下担任财政部部长。他表示，征税可能不会像支持者预期的那样带来那么多现金收入。
