KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. Pandemi Covid-19 bukan cuma berdampak ke sektor kesehatan dan ekonomi, melainkan juga bagi tenaga kerja. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah berjanji mendorong penerapan Program Jaminan Sosial Ketenagakerjaan (Jamsostek) Semesta. Program perlindungan ini akan memberi kepastian keberlangsungan ekonomi keluarga pekerja.
Wakil Presiden Ma'ruf Amin menyatakan, sebagai upaya optimalisasi pelaksanaan program itu, pemerintah telah mengeluarkan kebijakan dan regulasi untuk mendukung perlindungan Jamsostek Semesta. Sejumlah aturan tersebut antara lain Instruksi Presiden (Inpres) Nomor 2/2021 tentang Optimalisasi Pelaksanaan Program Jaminan Sosial Ketenagakerjaan.
