JAKARTA - Wall Street ditutup menguat pada perdagangan kemarin. Bursa saham AS naik karena didukung oleh kenaikan solid di sektor teknologi.
Indeks Dow Jones Industrial Average naik 225,96 poin atau 0,65% menjadi 35.120,08. Sementara, indeks S&P 500 naik 35,87 poin atau 0,81% menjadi 4.441,67 dan komposit Nasdaq melonjak 172,87 poin atau 1,19% menjadi 14.714,66.

Semua 11 sektor utama S&P 500 berakhir di zona hijau, dengan teknologi dan utilitas masing-masing naik 1,3% dan 1,22%, yang memimpin kenaikan.
Dikutip dari Xinhua, perusahaan-perusahaan China sebagian besar diperdagangkan lebih tinggi dengan delapan dari 10 saham teratas berdasarkan bobotnya dalam indeks S&P yang terdaftar di China 50 mengakhiri hari dengan catatan optimis.

Untuk minggu ini, indeks Dow turun 1,1%, sedangkan S&P 500 dan Nasdaq Composite masing-masing turun 0,6% dan 0,7%.
