Kathy Kraninger, former director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau told Reuters Thursday that she will join cryptocurrency startup Solidus Labs as an official overseeing regulatory matters.
Solidus is a compliance advisory firm that helps digital-asset companies detect and report market manipulation in digital assets to relevant authorities. It was founded in 2017 by former Wall Street veterans, and it’s CEO, Asaf Meir was most recently employed at Goldman Sachs.

Kraninger is the latest Trump official to join a cryptocurrency company. Former Acting Comptroller of the Currency Brian Brooks recently became the CEO of the U.S. affiliate of Binance, while former Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton joined an advisory council at One River Digital Asset Management in May.
