澳大利亚将减少国际旅客人数 航司被迫将客机用于货运
据澳洲网报道，从7月14日起，澳大利亚每周入境的航班旅客人数上限将从6000人降至3035人，这是自新冠疫情暴发以来的最低限额。此举导致一些航空公司被迫将客运航班改于货运用途。
据报道，美国航空公司发言人表示，截至目前，7月的8趟航班以及8月的12趟航班都转为仅货运。“在7月和8月未来的日子里，澳政府因疫情建议我们不要提供澳大利亚航线的客运服务。我们正在给航班受到影响的旅客提供其他选择。”
新加坡航空公司(SA)表示，由于限制，其也在将一些客运服务转为仅货运。在决定谁能乘坐航班时，SA会考虑被澳政府定义为弱势群体的人，以及此前机票被取消的人。
由于最新的国际旅客限额影响了航空公司的货运，在圣诞节高峰期到来之前，澳大利亚人购买的进口商品可能会面临推迟送货或价格上涨。
货运行业警告称，限额的后果可能是一些航司会暂停向澳大利亚的货运。在没有政府帮助的情况下，澳大利亚人会面临商品的短缺，比如汽车零部件和玩具等。
货运行业专家霍斯特表示，限额对澳大利亚航空货运进出口的财务冲击可能会达到13亿澳元。
