钟南山：中国需要达到70%-80%的新冠疫苗接种率
5月13日，中国工程院院士钟南山在第20届亚洲科学理事会大会做主旨报告时表示，数据显示目前中国新冠疫苗接种率在23%左右，这远远不够，至少需要达到70%-80%的接种率，这是一个艰巨的任务。
另据国家卫健委通报，截至2021年5月12日，31个省（区、市）及新疆生产建设兵团累计报告接种新冠病毒疫苗35427.2万剂次。
针对“群体免疫”，钟南山表示，实现群体免疫的一种方式是通过自然感染，但这将造成70%-80%的感染率以及5%的死亡率，是不现实、不科学、不人道的。而另一种方式则是大规模接种疫苗，这需要2-3年时间的全球协作。
钟南山展示的一组数据显示，要实现群体免疫，在疫苗有效性达到70%时，全球、中国、亚洲以及欧洲的接种率需分别达到89.2%、83.3%、80.2%、96.2%；疫苗有效性达到80%时，全球、中国、亚洲以及欧洲的接种率需分别达到78%、72.9%、70.2%、84.2%。
