韩联社消息，韩国外交部第一次官（副部长）崔钟建6日就伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队以环境污染为由扣留韩籍船舶一事表示，韩方认为没有证据显示韩船有污染环境行为。
崔钟建当天在韩国会外交统一委员会紧急座谈会上如上表述。他指出，如果是肉眼可辨的海洋污染，可以动用直升机确认，但并未发现相关证据，且该船只在安全装置齐全完好的情况下出航。
韩联社称，一名外统委委员认为，该事件与伊朗内部权力斗争、对美战略，以及在韩被冻结的70亿美元原油出口货款等有关。外统委委员长宋永吉也在会上指出，虽然伊朗外交部宣称这与被冻结的70亿美元资金无关，但不免让人怀疑。
崔钟建表示，谈判重点是解救被扣韩国公民，冻结资金问题将另行与伊方磋商。韩伊正通过多种渠道进行沟通。当地时间4日，从沙特启程驶向阿联酋的一艘韩国运输船在波斯湾被伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队扣留。伊方表示，涉事船只因造成环境污染被扣。
