英国政府此前多次叫嚣，称很快将派出该国唯一一艘航母、“伊丽莎白女王”号航母赴往中国南海地区，可是人算不如天算，英国受困于变异新冠病毒，现在大半个国家都已经封城，上上下下乱成了一锅粥。

然而根据近日网络热搜话题#国防部回应英军舰将赴南海#显示，英国似乎并没有打算收回之前的话，依然存在较大概率，今年开年之际，就会将航母派到南海地区进行“自由航行”。虽然最终没有太大的威胁，但是英国这样的举动，实在让人感到费解。
