2020 the year of the great revelation may lead to a new boom

he first year of the new decade probably will be a historical reference point for humanity. This is because this year humanity, on the fact that after century is faced with a pandemic, found itself in that historic moment where it was forced to make very important revelations:

On the one hand, it is proved one more time how vulnerable humanity can be to new pandemic diseases. On the other hand, however, it is revealed how interconnected the whole world is now, and how much it can achieve when coordinated for a common purpose.

Indeed, humanity is vulnerable to pandemic diseases as, despite advances in science and technology, the victims of the pandemic in a short time have reached hundreds of thousands worldwide. Indeed, this is done as, because of the interconnection and interdependence in the case of the pandemic it is one of the few times in the history of mankind that everyone is united while most, adopted common practices for tackling a common challenge. Thus, in order to deal with the pandemic, most societies followed common practices while all researchers around the world came together and as a result in record time found the vaccine to deal with the pandemic.

This unique behavior of humanity is very likely to be a great legacy as it is very likely to be the compass for how people, business, the economy, and markets will move, in all their dimensions from now on.

What the pandemic has revealed is what has already happened in recent decades around the world which is, that the challenges have ceased to be local, since because of the interconnectedness, they are now de facto global. This changes the rules of the game at all levels including the rules that applied to the economy, business, and markets.

It is obvious that interconnection and interdependence bring greater risks but at the same time bring much faster innovative and effective solutions which means faster and more aggressive recoveries.

It is very possible that the beginning of the new decade reveals a new reality that seems has no return to the past. It will take effort and common rules for the new reality of interconnectedness and interdependence to be established, concerning countries, the economy, business, and markets.

However, as this seems to be a one-way street, it is most likely that the beginning of the new decade, as the cycle of great revelations began, will be the starting point of a new cycle of the economy and markets.

The high level of interdependence and interconnection that exists in all corners of the world shows that in the face of great challenges like how to address a pandemic no one can be alone. The common address of challenges, such as the one that humanity experienced in 2020 brought effective solutions as it was based on global partnerships and global coordination which led to innovation that gave an effective solution.

All the above mentioned, with the end of the pandemic most probably can be the compass for the new reality, which is very likely to lead to a new boom for the global economy and markets.
