中新网12月28日消息，据日本《东方新报》当日报道，最新统计数据显示，日本2020年的出生人口约为84.8万人，与2019年相比减少约1.7万人，降至1899年有该项统计以来的历史最低。
据报道，与此同时，受新冠疫情影响，2020年日本的怀孕人数与2019年相比也有所减少，预计2021年日本的出生人口将跌破80万人，再次创下新低。
据介绍，日本的出生人口自20世纪70年代前期的第二次“婴儿潮”之后，一直处于减少的趋势。年出生人口在2016年首次跌破100万人，2018年跌破90万人。
报道称，日本新生儿减少的速度已超过当局的预测，该国的少子化问题日益严峻。
