加密货币借贷平台Cred因内部欺诈事件申请破产
据报道，在被爆出“欺诈事件”后，加密货币借贷平台Cred已于昨天向特拉华州地方法院申请破产保护。根据破产文件，Cred至少欠债权人6700万美元。Cred在2018年通过ICO融资2640万美元。
就在两周前，有报道称该公司存在内部欺诈行为，此后Cred宣布停止存取款。被暂停的存取款服务与该公司广受欢迎的CredEarn服务有关，该服务允许加密货币持有者在平台上存入他们的加密货币并赚取利息。
Cred表示，其系统和客户数据没有被泄露，因此本次事件不是由安全漏洞或系统黑客引发。公司目前正在咨询法律团队，评估此次欺诈事件的商业影响。
此外，Cred在一封电子邮件中表示，在处理公司资金方面出现了异常，一名内部人士对公司资产负债表造成了“负面影响”。
此前Cred的合作伙伴之一加密货币钱包提供商Uphold已经终止了与该公司的关系。Uphold于2019年与Cred展开合作，以满足用户对赚取收益的需求。Cred首席执行官Dan Schatt也已被从Uphold董事会成员中除名。
