据美国全国广播公司（NBC）8日报道，NBC的统计数据显示，美国目前的累计确诊病例已经超过1000万例，死亡病例累计超过23.9万例，居世界首位。
数据显示，美国各州日增确诊超数千例，其中伊利诺伊州7日的新增病例超过1.2万例，为全美新高。伊利诺伊州州长普里茨克（J.B. Pritzker）上周在与一名新冠病毒检测呈阳性的工作人员会面后自我隔离。据美联社报道，普里茨克和其他工作人员在7日的检测结果呈阴性。据约翰斯·霍普金斯大学的数据统计，截至8日，全球新冠肺炎累计确诊病例超过5000万例。
