10月23日(周五)，市场分析师Tracy Withers撰文称，新西兰第三季度通胀意外放缓，因燃料价格未能反弹，进一步显示新西兰联储可能需要在未来数月推出更多刺激措施。美国银行目前认为，年底纽元兑美元将下滑至0.64。

新西兰经济复苏缓慢，但是出现失业率上升，这些情况都对工资和消费支出施加下行压力，明年通胀将明显减弱。早在今年8月份，新西兰联储就预测，2020年底新西兰的通胀率将下跌至0.3%低位。此外，新西兰联储还释放信号，暗示如果有需要的话，准备通过负利率提供更多刺激措施。新西兰联储给出的通胀目标为1%-3%。
