智通财经APP获悉，据媒体10月20日消息，高盛集团(GS.US)与美国司法部达成协议，将就马来西亚1MDB调查支付超过20亿美元罚款，协议内容或在数天内公布。有关金额与该行早前拨备及市场分析大致相符。
报道称，高盛与美国司法部达成的协议，可令其母公司避免美国刑事定罪。美国司法部就高盛为1MDB投资基金筹资的行为展开多年的调查和磋商，预计协议细节将在美国总统大选前几周公布，消除市场对高盛的不确定性。
据悉，马来西亚司法部门于2019年8月指认高盛集团子公司2012年至2013年间协助一马发展有限公司(1MDB)安排发行三笔债券、募集总计65亿美元资金，从而方便腐败官员侵占数以十亿计美元的“债券收益”，用于个人奢侈享受。
