10月15日（周四），美国总统特朗普表示，他将支持一项超过1.8万亿美元的疫情援助计划，金价小幅上涨但因强势美元受压制。但是，参议院多数党领袖麦康奈尔称，特朗普给出的方案不会得到共和党议员的支持。他计划下周向参议院提交一项价值约5000亿美元的小型议案。美国财长努钦称，美国政府没有放弃达成协议的希望。

财长努钦称，美国政府没有放弃达成协议的希望
努钦承认，在大选前很难达成有关疫情法案的协议，但会继续努力。
