6、1987年席卷全球股市的黑色星期一
1987年10月19日星期一，美国股市出现惊人下跌，并引发世界其他国家股票市场跟风下跌。
道琼斯工业股票平均指数骤跌508点，下跌幅度22%，一天内跌去的股票价值总额令人目瞪口呆——是1929年华尔街大崩溃时跌去价值总额的两倍。
纽约股市的震荡也在东京和伦敦造成了混乱。伦敦的FT指数滑落25O点，威胁到政府对英国石油股份公司私有化进程。日经指数下跌202.32点，跌幅为2.18%。
很多人在股灾后感到奇怪，因当日根本没有任何不利股市的消息或新闻，因此下跌看似并无实在的原因，令当时很多人怀疑是羊群心理、市场失败或经济失衡引致股灾，至今仍在争论。
