拜登再进一步，美众议院通过近2万亿美元社会支出法案
美国众议院周五通过了1.75万亿美元的社会支出和气候变化法案。这项旨在扩大社会安全网、解决气候挑战以及改革部分税制的法案是拜登的标志性计划之一。
这个名为“重建更好美国的法案”（Build Back Better Act）以220-213票的微弱优势在众议院获得通过，所有共和党议员全部投下反对票。
此前该法案在民主党内部经历了长达数月的争论。民主党温和派人士还坚持要求，在无党派的国会预算办公室（CBO）提供了该法案的成本预算后再进行投票。
CBO的研究发现，该法案将在未来十年内使美国的联邦预算赤字增加3670亿美元，但国税局（IRS）改革带来的收入改善将使美国政府的收入净增加1270亿美元。
这对许多此前持反对意见的民主党人而言是可以接受的。民主党众议员中，仅有缅因州的戈登（Jared Golden）一人投票反对。
