Markets waiting on Powell to speak

Last night the US dollar movements were quite flat with retail sales data slight missing expectations: Core Retail Sales m/m (Actual: -0.7%, Forecast: 0.4%, Previous: 0.0% revised from -0.8%), retail Sales m/m (Actual: -1.3%, Forecast: -0.6%, Previous: 0.9% revised from 0.0%). For today we have the U.S. housing data will be released later at 2030 (GMT+8). Building Permits (Forecast: 1.73M, Previous: 1.76M) and Housing Starts (Forecast: 1.64M, Previous: 1.57M). On Thursday at 02:30 Jerome Powell speaks and I will be listening for any mention of tapering and any changes to the language around the time frames on reducing asset purchasing.
