预计英国央行将会宣布缩减英国国债购买规模，每周购买量料将从目前的44亿英镑减少一半，至22亿英镑左右，以满足截至今年底的8750亿英镑购债目标。如果把这一缩债决定留给7月或8月的下次会议，将要求每周购买的规模较目前大幅下调，或需分别降至16亿英镑和8亿英镑左右。鉴于英国央行将在货币政策报告中发布最新的经济预测，5月会议将是调整政策的好时机，以便作出更充分的解释。
