Investor Menanti Hasil Pertemuan The Fed, Bursa Saham Asia Lesu
Bursa saham Asia-Pasifik melemah pada perdagangan saham Rabu, (17/3/2021) seiring investor menunggu hasil pertemuan bank sentral Amerika Serikat (AS) atau the Federal Reserve selama dua hari.
Di Australia, indeks saham ASX 200 turun 0,48 persen, dan sebagian besar sektor saham tertekan. Sektor saham energi dan material masing-masing turun 1,36 persen dan 1,35 persen. Sementara itu, saham perusahaan minyak dan tambang berusaha untuk menguat. Saham perusahaan tambang Rio Tinto dan BHP masing-masing susut 1,24 persen dan 1,56 persen.
Indeks saham Jepang Nikkei 225 cenderung mendatar, dan indeks saham Topix melemah. Indeks saham Korea Selatan Kospi tergelincir 0,64 persen.
Sementara itu, indeks saham Dow Jones melemah hampir 130 poin di wall street. Hal ini terjadi setelah indeks saham Dow Jones menguat selama tujuh hari berturut-turut.
Strategist Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Carol Kong menuturkan, pertemuan the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) akan menjadi perhatian pasar.
