Pemangkasan Produksi Minyak Saudi Menandakan Permintaan Akan Melemah – Goldman Sachs
Arab Saudi mengejutkan pasar pada hari Selasa dengan mengumumkan pengurangan produksi minyak sukarela sebesar 1 juta barel per hari (bph) pada bulan Februari dan Maret.
Menurut Goldman Sachs, langkah tersebut mencerminkan ekspektasi melemahnya permintaan setelah pembatasan penguncian virus Corona baru di seluruh dunia.
Alasan yang paling mungkin adalah Arab Saudi mengharapkan perlambatan besar dalam konsumsi energi global, termasuk di Asia di mana infeksi meningkat dengan cepat, analis Goldman termasuk Damien Courvalin dan Jeff Currie mengatakan dalam sebuah catatan tertanggal 5 Januari.
