The American Petroleum Institute (API) said U.S. crude oil stockpiles increased 2.318 million barrels for the week ending October 22, larger than the expected build of 1.65 million barrels.
Later today, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will report official oil inventories for the same period, with an expected increase of 1.914 million barrels.
